Frequently Asked Questions
What is chiropractic, and what does an adjustment do?
Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and nervous system to restore healthy movement and function. Adjustments gently create more space and motion between the vertebrae, easing tension and improving how your body communicates and adapts. The small “pop” you may hear is simply air releasing from the joint — not harmful, and often relieving.
How does my chiropractor know what I need?
We don’t guess — we test. From your first visit, we use posture checks, INSiGHT™ scans, and, if needed, digital spinal X-rays to understand how your body is functioning. As care continues, we re-check your posture, movement, and nervous system patterns so your plan always adapts to your progress.
Will my adjustments be painful?
Chiropractic care is generally gentle and comfortable. Many people describe a sense of pressure releasing from their spine or joints, often bringing immediate relief. Others may notice mild tenderness afterward — similar to post-exercise soreness — as the body adapts. We use a range of safe techniques, from hands-on adjustments to drop-table and instrument-assisted care, always tailored to your comfort.
Are X-rays really necessary?
We only recommend digital spinal X-rays when clinically indicated. If you’ve had long-standing neck pain, back pain, past injuries, or suspected structural issues, imaging gives us vital clarity. They’re low-radiation, quick, and done on-site. For children, we only suggest imaging in very specific cases where it’s necessary.
How many visits before I notice a change?
Every body heals differently. Some notice changes within a few visits, while deeper or long-term issues may take more time. We track your progress regularly and adjust your plan so it matches your goals and your body’s response.
Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is needed — chiropractic is a primary healthcare service. However, we do support:
- Medicare CDM Plans (small gap fee)
- DVA Gold/White Card holders (with GP referral, no out-of-pocket)
- WorkCover & CTP claims (with GP referral, no out-of-pocket once approved)
What are your fees, and do you accept health funds?
- New Patient Offer: $27 (includes consultation, INSiGHT™ scans, and X-rays if needed)
- Casual Adjustment: $129 per session
- Prepaid Adjustments: $99 per session, no lock-ins
- We accept all major health funds, with on-the-spot claiming via HICAPS.
How do I book?
Easy — book online, call us directly, or drop in to meet the team and schedule in person.
Who is chiropractic care for?
Everyone. We care for children, teens, busy professionals, new mums, athletes, and seniors — anyone seeking less pain, more energy, and better function in daily life.
